Voilà trente ans qu’avec Barbe-Bleue et Les 7 Péchés capitaux, Pina Bausch secouait pour la première fois le Théâtre de la Ville. Pour marquer cet anniversaire, le Tanztheater Wuppertal séjourne un mois entier au Théâtre de la Ville avec la reprise de Wiesenland et une création, 'Sweet Mambo'. Deux étapes du voyage infini qu’a entrepris Pina Bausch, « archéologue des comportements vivants », et dont elle restitue un généreux kaléidoscope d’images somptueuses où se télescopent le quotidien et le rêve. Thirty years ago, the audience of the Théâtre de la Ville was radically shaken by Pina Bausch’s Bluebeard and The Seven Deadly Sins. To celebrate this anniversary, the Wuppertal Tanztheater will stay at the Théâtre de la Ville for a whole month, reviving Wiesenland and performing 'Sweet Mambo', a new creation. Both pieces constitute major landmarks in the boundless voyage Pina Bausch has undertaken as “an archaeologist of human behaviour”. From her findings she offers a generous kaleidoscope of luxuriant images which clashingly associate everyday life and dream-worlds. Jean-Marc Adolphe |
