Ex-élève de Mary Wigman, pionnière de la « danse d’expression » en Allemagne, Susanne Linke a construit une œuvre singulière et personnelle d’une immense délicatesse. En 1986, elle créait Schritte Verfolgen, un solo inspiré par sa propre enfance, recluse dans l’autisme. Une vingtaine d’années plus tard, elle en reprend le fil en transmettant à trois jeunes danseuses le chemin difficile de cette autobiographie corporelle. Bouleversant et essentiel. A former pupil of Mary Wigman, the pioneer of “expressive dancing” in Germany, Susanne Linke has elaborated an idiosyncratic, singular work of the utmost delicacy. In 1986 she created Schritte Verfolgen, a solo piece for which her inspiration was rooted in her own recluse autistic childhood. Some twenty years later she picks up and passes down the same story line, initiating three young female dancers into the arduous itinerary of that autobiography of the body.
