Deux légendes vivantes de la musique orientale unissent leurs arts avec une belle inspiration et beaucoup de c?ur en mêlant la musique persane savante à la musique indienne traditionnelle. Leurs concerts souvent émouvants portent l’empreinte de leurs cultures respectives. Accompagné subtilement par Arunanghshu Choudhury au tabla, le duo que forme sur scène Kayhan Kalhor, maître du kamantché, avec Shujaat Hussain Khan, maître du sitar, fonctionne grâce à leur incroyable virtuosité mais aussi grâce à une vraie générosité, à une ouverture d’esprit vers d’autres musiques, d’autres horizons. Two living legends of Oriental music unite their arts with beautiful inspiration and depth of feeling by combining learned Persian and traditional Indian music. Their concerts, which bear the mark of their respective cultures, are often moving. Subtly accompanied by Arunanghshu Choudhury at the tabla, the duo formed onstage by kamanche master Kayhan Kalhor and sitar master Shujaat Hussain Khan works smoothly thanks to their incredible virtuosity and their true generosity, but also their open-mindedness to other types of music and different horizons.
