MEETING OUR DIFFERENT AUDIENCE
IN THE PLAYHOUSE
At the Théâtre de la Ville and at the Théâtre des Abbesses
Throughout the season, the Théâtre de la Ville organizes meetings of various kinds so as to form regular links between the different audiences and the artists. These encounters alternatively favour wide reflections on artistic forms or ideas and more intimate exchanges with more secret voices.
Sunday Afternoon Encounters
These exchanges between the audience and the artistic team of a given production (playwrights, directors, actors, choreographers, dancers) take place after certain matinee performances.
The Théâtre de la Ville and France Musique : on stage and on the air.
From the 7 World Music concerts recorded this year by France Musique and broadcasted in Françoise Degeorges's program "Couleurs du monde", every wednesday from 20:00 until 22:00, 3 will be recorded in live conditions and 1 will be broadcasted in live.

In the late 19th century, the motif of “the dead child” surfaces again and again in literary works. In the late 20th century the motif has changed into that of “the murder of the child”.
Stage directors and academics investigate the meaning of the motif while pondering the challenge of its stage representation. Can it or can’t it be represented? What solutions should one adopt?
This discussion is organized in partnership with the Institut d’Études Théâtrales-Sorbonne Nouvelle and moderated by Georges Banu.
