The Attacca Quartet, described as the string quartet of modern times, has a spirit of adventure that they have brought to resolutely classical repertoire. The ensemble from the United States is presenting a fascinating program of contemporary American music that is bound to please all audiences. Philip Glass, an ancestral figure of contemporary music, will be programmed with his magnificent Quartet Satz, while the younger generation will be featured in works by Jessie Montgomery, Caroline Shaw and Paul Wiancko.
