False revelations, denunciations, false confessions... the Salem Witches remind us of all the "witch hunting" everywhere today.

Salem, New England. It is said that young girls meet at night and give themselves up to the Devil! The town, which is very puritanical, immediately believes in a witch epidemic. A trial takes place, which summons all kinds of fanaticism. Female hysteria? Supernatural interventions? Simulations out of a desire for revenge? Only one couple seems to resist the general intoxication. Arthur Miller describes the unstoppable mechanics of a human community being torn apart. Numerous lying revelations, denunciations, false confessions... condemnations. Witches" are hanged. A play of urgency and resistance, it reminds us of everything that, everywhere (fanaticism, persecutions, racism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia, misogyny, and moral order) is a "witch hunt" today!
