A sensitive and energetic cabaret show, made of urban dances, ballet and glitter: can we be authentic if we’re black and gay in a melting pot of cultures ?
Kyle Abraham’s is the most universal and deeply moving choreographer of the young American generation. A Barack Obama of the dance scene! Here, he convenes urban dances, ballet and voguing for an elegant, glittering and tender cabaret show that fascinates us when we should be riddled by the issues raised: in the relationship with “the other”, what does it mean to be a man, a woman, either gay or heterosexual, and furthermore a black one ?
