Come and discover the musical world of birds.
Marie-Pierre Langlamet leads us through history and shares with us her passion for composers' affection for the musical world of birds. With "Le Rappel des oiseaux", "La Poule" and "Le Coucou", originally composed for harpsichord, Rameau and Daquin propose some descriptive, imitative and often virtuoso pieces. A century later, Glinka endeavors to reproduce the Skylark's melancholic variations ("L'Alouette), while Liszt transcripts an Alabieff's melody evoking the nightingale’s song ("Rossignol") and Schumann imagines the music of a prophet bird ("Oiseau Prophète"). The sound evocation of birds reaches its climax in XX century with Tournier's poetic "Volière Magique".
