Dvořák, the American Friend - String Quintet
When Dvořák moved to New-York, Brahms supervised the publication of his works. That shows how strong their relationship was. In America, Dvořák was inspired by Indian music, in particular for the “Quintet opus 97” that also echoes another quintet composed three years before by Brahms. Two sunny scores that Quatuor Pavel Haas, one of the most noted active string quartets, were inspired to bring together for this concert.
