An outstanding program of three works, including two world premieres, by three female choreographers, for a panorama of American dance today, in collaboration with Benjamin Millepied.
Madeline Hollander, choreographer and visual artist, has been extending the tradition of New York’s famous Judson Memorial Church where dance was reinvented, as, for example, with the introduction of everyday movements. Made¬line Hollander brings life to the stage in configurations of supreme complexity. Pam Tanowitz maintains a subtle dialogue with American masters ranging from Balanchine to Cunningham, in a relationship flowing naturally from movement to music and visual arts. Bobbi Jene Smith, a certified Gaga teacher and performer, uses her experience gained over ten years with Ohad Naharin in the Batsheva Dance Company. The latest assets from America are with women.
