Botis Seva
Until we sleep • Dance/Theater
DISCOVERING ONE OF THE NEW TALENTS ON THE BRITISH DANCE SCENE.
With his company Far From The Norm, Botis Seva has deconstructed street dance vocabularies such as break dancing, popping, krump and house, to create a new hip hop dance theatre. The adventure that began in a suburban house in London continued through to the ultimate acclaim of an Olivier Award in 2019 for the Best New Dance Production. With Until we sleep, Botis Seva has unearthed secrets from colonial times that can still be a source of distress for communities and relations between generations, yet he does so as a quest for peace behind the apparent beauty of chaos.
