FAMILY CONFLICT BETWEEN TRADITION AND THE YOUNGER GENERATION, FOR AN ENCOUNTER BETWEEN HIP HOP AND THEATER, FOR AN ELECTRIC ATMOSPHERE.
How can a family remain on peaceful terms in such a changing world? Family Honour has a man and a woman clash over moral codes and the alleged “sin” of violating the rules of their traditional community. The first version, presented in 2018 and lasting only ten minutes, was fascinating, meticulous, and intense, winning the first prize in Danse élargie, then the following year it won the RIDCC international competition in Rotterdam. The success story is now continuing with an invitation to develop a longer version, exploring what was behind the conflict, and going through tough discussions and arguments between the members of a family from Ghana now in Europe. Authentic and not to be missed!
