THE ART OF LETTER-WRITING AS UNDERSTOOD BY THE ITALIAN POET OF DANCE CONFRONTS US WITH THOSE WHO ARE MISSING. OVERWHELMING.

The wild and profoundly personal solo by Marco D’Agostin is for Nigel Charnock, the visionary artist and joint founder of the DV8 dance company who passed away at such a young age. His encounter with the British master in the art of combining words and movement obviously had a great impact on Marco D’Agostin who is master in the art of collage in choreography. Hence the idea of an open letter, written on stage with his body for an audience assembled as both witness and partner. There is inevitably a sense of regret for not having said certain things to people when there was still time to speak. The true subject of Best Regards is in the intensity of the absence which, despite being irreversible, becomes a “secular and pop tribute” through dance, song and speech.
