HOW CAN A SOLO RISE TO TRIO IN THE SPACE OF ONE YEAR?
THE 1I2I3 PRINCIPLE IS SIMPLE:
10 SOLOS → 6 DUOS → 3 TRIOS THROUGH GRADUAL
SELECTION AND RELIABLE SUPPORT.

The next version of 1I2I3 should be in the same spirit as in January 2024, with choreographers working generously, doing their first steps with support from the Suzanne Dellal Centre. In a sequence of different selection stages, quality and variety can once again be seen in the works proposed. Two favorites stood out amongst the ten solos that have just been produced, and those two artists will therefore be programmed: the very young Maya Navot who was noticed last year with her glowing presence in the duo by Ophir Kunesch, and Yossi Daniel, a top-level athlete who only started dancing at the age of thirty. Each one has an individual style, hers is one of polished simplicity, while his is a rough-cut gemstone. The challenge is to convey their distinctive features, for the move from solo to duo means allowing scope for the second one, being able to involve the other one in an exercise where others in turn will also be revealed. Then, for the trio that is the sign of a true choreographic endeavor, there will be the surprise of discovering which ones are the last six chosen to go through to the end.
