La Reine de la piste
Pierre Notte, Helena Noguerra • CRÉATION - FILMÉE ET DIFFUSÉE EN DIRECT
BETWEEN CABARET AND THEATRE, HELENA NOGUERRA WORKS WONDERS IN THIS RECITAL WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY PIERRE NOTTE.
She is a free woman who has a strange adventure. After barging in to a party she wasn’t invited to, she sticks around. Oddly, her presence doesn’t seem to bother anyone – it is as if no one could see her. In fact, she is watching her own funeral. This is a quick sketch of La Reine de la piste, a performance between cabaret and musical theatre in which the actress and singer Helena Noguerra performs her own songs woven into a narrative written and directed by Pierre Notte. Starting in a funereal key, this portrait of a woman gradually proves to be a vibrant ode to life and liberty. By drawing from her songbook, from her first hit Lunettes noires to her latest album Nue, Helena Noguerra excels at this recital that blends realism and fantasy, in which monologue and songs echo each other like a dream to be looked at head-on, a dialogue between two worlds soon to be reconciled.
