Winner of the ARTIST DIPLOMA 2024 from the École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot with distinction and congratulations from the jury

Born in South Korea in 1998, Yedam Kim began her piano studies at the age of six.

Born in 1998 in South Korea, Yedam Kim began her piano studies at the age of 6. After studying at the Seoul Arts High School, she went on to perfect her skills with Kyung Seon Pi, Kyung-Ah Kim and Hee Sung Joo and obtained her degree in piano from Seoul University in 2021.

She then decided to continue her studies in France, and after a year obtained the Diplôme Supérieur d'Exécution de Piano et de Musique de Chambre with distinction at the École Normale de Musique de Paris.

In 2023-2024, she completed an Artiste Diploma with Philippe Bianconi and a Master's degree in piano at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP), where she was admitted unanimously in 2023 in the class of Jonas Vitaud and Claire-Marie Le Guay.

During her teenage years, the pianist won a number of national competitions, including the Kukmin Daily & Hansei University, Suri, Nanpa, Youngchang music, Seoul Orchestra, GangNam Symphony and Chung-Ang University Music competitions.

In 2018, the pianist won the International Maestro Piano Festival in Taipei, Taiwan, and the prestigious Hyun-Dai Motors Chung Mong-Koo Foundation scholarship in Korea. At the age of 13, the young pianist won the Vlll International Chopin Competition for Young People in Moscow.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Yedam gives chamber music concerts in 2018 and 2020 at the Seoul Arts Centre and the Sejong centre. She performs with the Seoul Orchestra, the GangNam Symphony Orchestra and the Perugia Music Fest Orchestra.

Since 2021, the pianist has performed regularly at the Czech Centre in Paris, the Musée Matisse, the Salle Cortot, the Résidence le Jardin des Moines, the Monastère de Cimiez, the Villa Malesherbes, the Chopin Cathedral in Valldemossa in Spain, the Bell'Arte Foundation in Braine-l'Alleud in Belgium, the Palm Beach Atlantic International Piano Festival in the United States and recently in Aix-en-Provence and at the Festival Chopin in Nohant.

In 2023, Yedam won 1st prize with congratulations from the jury at the Versailles International Piano Competition. In May 2024 she won the ARTIST DIPLOMA from the École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot, graduating with first class honours and the congratulations of the jury, after studying with Philippe Bianconi.
