HEKA Gandini Juggling
Creation
GANDINI LANGUAGE IS AN OUTSTANDING ESTHETIC EXPRESSION DEVELOPED OVER THOUSANDS OF PERFORMANCES AROUND THE WORLD, AND THIS TIME FEATURING THE ASTONISHING MAGICIAN YANN FRISCH.
Heka, the Egyptian god of magic, is the inspiration for a performance reviving and inventing codes for magic and for juggling, combining both arts to develop a new form of esthetic expression enhanced with elements from all the other performing arts. Intelligence and humor abound as objects appear and disappear, take flight, multiply and change color and texture. They play opposite circus artists who then become actors, choreographers and musicians. Heka not only sets up daring inventions, but also challenges conventions, doing away with role-playing and personal identification. The women are not mere helpers but have their own positions and creativity in their own right as part of the team venture by the entrancing troupe.
