Cellist Raphaël Pidoux and for the oboe his son Gabriel Pidoux (“Solo Revelation” of the 2020 Victoires de la musique classique awards) will be presenting a panorama of baroque repertoire. Performing with them is the brilliant harpsichordist Sybille Roth who is from the same up-and-coming generation as Gabriel Pidoux. The magnificent program built around family connections will feature works by Philidor and Hotteterre, both members of musical dynasties and pioneers in the history of the oboe, and also pieces by Vivaldi. Sybille Roth will perform compositions for harpsichord by Johann Sebastian Bach and his son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach whose work marks the transition to classical music.
