Can anyone imagine what it must feel like to be an angel fated to live for eternity? Here an angel is speaking out, one who has dared move away from routine invisibility but is still depicted as the epitome of perfection, wisdom, and purity, and as a being of indeterminate gender. The angel has come forth, singing loud and clear, proclaiming that life is hell, that wings get in the way; immortality is intrinsically boring, lasting forever and ever; contact with humans to provide protection and advice is far from gratifying as humans do not realize just how lucky they are to be mortal. The boundaries limiting existence are what endows value on that existence. The angel has become a multi-faceted character and will sing, asserting the need to transgress.
